| Did not venture far on this day, mostly just photos from around Gaithersburg and Montgomery Village area. Another thunderstorm in a very active storm year in the Mid-Atlantic. This wasn't even a strong series of storms, as you'll note below on the SPC reports graphic, no reports were given for the area around DC. However, it was a pretty heavy rain maker, and a flash flood warning was issued for parts of DC and Montgomery County, MD. You can see from the two photos the creek that overflowed and covered parts of Goshen Road in Gaithersburg. Further to the Southeast a Severe sStorm Watch (see graphic below) was issued along with a few warnings, however that activity did not reach the DC region.
